JOIN US FOR THE 2026 DESCENDANT REUNION
The Stagville Descendants’ Council will host the Stagville Descendants’ Conference & Reunion on June 27, 2026, in Durham, NC, for Juneteenth. This historic gathering is exclusively for descendants of the enslaved connected to Stagville and will unite families from across the United States and the Caribbean to reconnect, restore family histories, and honor the heritage of those who endured slavery.

The event will feature a conference focused on history, genealogy, and civic engagement, followed by a family-centered reunion and ancestral acknowledgment. Rooted in fortitude and remembrance, the gathering provides a space for healing, education, and joint progress as it advances the Council’s mission of historical preservation and community empowerment.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Volunteers are also welcome to assist with setup, registration, parking, and event support.
